::Went as a Liverpool fan for the champions league final weekend. Was made by what Liverpool football club had arranged for the fans. Entertainment that was put on by the club was outstanding. I can imagine the place is a bit more serene when the area is not full of football fans singing and drinking.

::A great place to relax on a warm summer day. Plenty of vendors offering drinks and food. Obviously I was there for a different reason as it was used as a fan park for the champions league final.

::It's a delightful little park adjacent to the Taras Shevchenko National University, which is itself a large multi-columned building painted a rather striking red. Festivals, vendors and street performers frequent the park, and I've not been here when it hasn't been filled with local families and couples relaxing and conversing. On the western side is a nice Ukrainian restaurant called Opanas. It's done in a style reminiscent of a Ukrainian village house and has a tree in in the center. Maybe a little kitschy, but friendly enough.

::This is a beautiful and vibrant park. It is where couples, students and tourists relax on a Sunday. There are many musical instruments being played and the sounds of children laughing is everywhere. This is my favourite park in Kiev.

::Great park right in the middle of the city! There are a lot of interestingly looking benches, intricate walking paths and amenities. One should definitely try coffee in the old tram, which is now a coffee shop. There is also a blini window, good for a snack on the go. Coffee stands are all around the park, so be sure to grab one before settling on the grass with your friends. Often there are street musicians and dance evenings, which are building quite a romantic atmosphere.
