Cool Experience. Would definitely recommend for other tourists. However, it was the only place in L'viv we had to wait in a line and it was a long line. I also wouldn't go there for the food, there is much better food elsewhere.
I tend to shy away for tourist type restaurants but this place was the exception. The food was good, the atmosphere was good and there were very unique items in the gift shop.
Great atmosphere. Fully immersed in the time period of the Ukranian resistance during WW2. Food is homemade style. Not the best tasting for those not accustomed to Ukraine. Getting in requires a password.
A unified and fully realized theme. If war-themed restaurants in a country at war are your thing- go here! If you want to be immersed in unbridled Ukrainian patriotism- go here! However, if you are a Russian or a pacifist- stay away.
Good to Know- Difficult to find. You will be handed a shot at the door. Food fine, not great. Expensive for Ukraine/seemingly average for Lviv.
I would have given Kryivka five stars, as I feel that it is a must-see in Lviv. However, a star had to be taken away due to the fact that the menu had become smaller and, in my opinion, worse. The only reason I had returned was to taste one of their "patelnyas" (dishes served in frying pans), which I feel were the best dishes on the menu. I was very disappointed to find that they no longer served them. The atmosphere is still incredible and the place is a must-see for anyone visiting Lviv for the first time, but please, please return the old menu!
